Central® 270 Reinforced Water Activated Tape is a 3-inch wide, 450-foot gummed tape built for demanding carton sealing. Fiberglass yarns bonded between paper layers deliver tensile reinforcement that resists splitting and tearing under load, making it distinctly more durable than standard kraft tape on heavy or irregularly packed cartons.
The water-activated starch adhesive bonds permanently to corrugated surfaces, becoming part of the carton structure itself. This creates a tamper-evident seal that signals box integrity throughout the supply chain — a critical feature for e-commerce fulfillment, distribution centers, and manufacturing operations shipping high-value or regulated goods. The adhesive maintains consistent performance across extreme hot and cold temperatures where pressure-sensitive tapes commonly fail.
